Job Description

WorkinVirtual Private Limited is hiring a Video Editor for a full-time, 100% remote position open to qualified candidates worldwide.

The Video Editor will transform raw footage, audio, graphics, and other creative assets into polished video content for digital platforms.

You will work on content that may include social media videos, short-form content, longer-form videos, platform and product content, educational material, promotional videos, interviews, and other digital media.

We’re looking for an editor who understands more than how to operate editing software. You should have a strong sense of storytelling, pacing, visual composition, audio, and audience attention and be able to turn a creative brief into a professional finished video.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant professional video-editing or post-production experience and must provide a portfolio or showreel demonstrating their work.

Compensation is $20–$25 USD per hour.

This is a 100% remote worldwide opportunity requiring at least 4 hours of working-day overlap with New York / US Eastern Time (ET).

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit raw video footage into polished, publication-ready content.

  • Translate creative briefs, scripts, footage, and other assets into clear visual stories.

  • Edit short-form and long-form digital video.

  • Create content suitable for platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other digital channels.

  • Select appropriate footage, takes, B-roll, graphics, music, and other creative assets.

  • Maintain engaging pacing and clear narrative structure.

  • Perform basic color correction and color grading.

  • Edit and improve dialogue, music, and other audio.

  • Add titles, captions, transitions, graphics, and other visual elements when appropriate.

  • Create or adapt videos for horizontal, vertical, and square formats.

  • Prepare exports according to platform and technical requirements.

  • Organize project files, source footage, graphics, audio, and finished assets.

  • Maintain consistent visual and brand standards.

  • Incorporate feedback and complete revision rounds accurately.

  • Manage multiple editing assignments and deadlines.

  • Collaborate remotely with relevant content, marketing, product, and operational team members.

  • Maintain appropriate backups and organized project files.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of professional video-editing or post-production experience.

  • A portfolio or showreel demonstrating relevant editing work.

  • Strong proficiency with professional video-editing software.

  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, rhythm, and visual composition.

  • Good understanding of audio editing and synchronization.

  • Understanding of color correction and basic color grading.

  • Familiarity with different aspect ratios, codecs, resolutions, and export requirements.

  • Ability to organize large video projects and source files.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to interpret creative briefs and feedback.

  • Good time-management skills.

Compensation
