Databricks is hiring a Sr. Technology Partner Director – AI Code-Gen & Apps to build and scale strategic partnerships across the rapidly growing ecosystem of AI coding agents, application builders, developer platforms, and database technologies. This opportunity is available remotely in California.
The role will own a portfolio of strategic technology partnerships designed to make Databricks a leading platform for building and operating AI-generated applications. You will develop relationships with AI coding platforms, app-building companies, developer-tool providers, and other technology partners while connecting their ecosystems with Databricks Apps, Lakebase, and the wider Databricks Data + AI Platform.
You will define partnership strategies covering product integrations, joint solutions, go-to-market initiatives, and marketing programs. Responsibilities span the full partnership lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and developing joint product plans through integration, launch, adoption, and scale.
The position works extensively across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Business Operations. You will help coordinate product integrations, develop joint value propositions, support field readiness, and ensure both Databricks and partner organizations can effectively position and deliver joint offerings.
You will also represent strategic partners internally, bringing ecosystem insights to Databricks leadership and helping influence product roadmaps and broader strategy as AI coding, developer tooling, application platforms, and database technologies continue to evolve.
Candidates need 7+ years of experience in product partnerships, business development, or partner management, including at least 3+ years working with AI code-generation, app-building, or developer-tool ecosystems.
A demonstrated record of launching strategic ISV integrations and joint go-to-market initiatives with developer platforms, AI code-generation companies, hyperscalers, or comparable technology organizations is required.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of the developer-tool and database ecosystem, including technologies and categories such as PostgreSQL, developer marketplaces, next-generation PaaS platforms, AI coding tools, and CI/CD workflows.
The position also requires strong technical and commercial judgment, cross-functional leadership, experience navigating complex partner relationships and co-opetition, and excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Databricks provides geographically tiered compensation. The published ranges are $178,800–$245,850 USD for Zone 1, $161,000–$221,300 for Zone 2, and $152,000–$209,000 for Zone 3. Total compensation may additionally include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
