Role Overview
The Senior Manager of Strategy will define and execute business strategies that drive growth, operational efficiency, and market leadership. Reporting to senior leadership, this role involves financial modeling, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure initiatives translate into tangible results. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision and execution excellence to advance TCGplayer’s mission in the collectible marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Initiatives & Planning: Design and implement initiatives that deliver growth, efficiency, and customer impact.
- Financial & Market Analysis: Build financial models, analyze data, and provide actionable recommendations for executive decision-making.
- Market & Competitive Research: Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, operations, finance, and other teams to ensure strategies are executed effectively.
- Executive Communication: Translate complex insights into clear, executive-ready presentations.
- Business Alignment: Align sub-strategies within functional areas to broader company goals.
- Long-Term Forecasting: Analyze market data to predict growth trends and strategic direction.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Skills:
- 8+ years in strategy, consulting, corporate development, or business operations, preferably within ecommerce, marketplaces, or collectibles.
- Deep understanding of eCommerce or collectible marketplaces.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to create executive-level recommendations and presentations.
- High emotional intelligence with experience influencing C-level executives.
- Demonstrated bias for action and ownership of strategic initiatives.
- Passion or expertise in trading card games (TCG) and hobbyist communities.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay: $108,400 – $186,400 (location, experience, and skills may affect offer)
- Additional Compensation: Target bonus, restricted stock units (RSUs), and a full suite of medical, financial, and retirement benefits.
- Work Environment: Flexible remote work with opportunities in Atlanta or Boston.
