Role Summary

The SAP Security and GRC Professional Technology Consultant IT position is based in Bangalore and operates within the SAP Center of Excellence Central Security Team. The role plays a critical part in shaping and delivering security, governance, and authorization services across the global SAP landscape.

The consultant provides leadership in designing, implementing, governing, and supporting SAP Security solutions across multiple production systems. Moreover, the role contributes directly to the organization’s digital transformation journey by implementing modern security practices, automation, and compliance-driven processes across enterprise platforms.

The consultant supports enterprise-wide transformation by adopting modern SAP security practices, governance automation, and change management initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, governance, and support of SAP Security solutions across the global SAP environment.
Act as a subject-matter expert and mentor within the Central Security Team, guiding internal stakeholders.
Own and manage the SAP GRC platform, including Access Control, Process Control, and Cloud Platform Security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient SAP access aligned with global standards.
Represent the SAP Security function in internal and external audits while ensuring evidence readiness and control adherence.
Drive security automation initiatives and modern access management practices.
Provide technical leadership for SAP ECC, S4, BW, GRC, and cloud application security operations.
Lead SAP Security projects and GRC rollouts as a key focal point.
Support security blueprinting, planning, implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
Resolve issues related to GRC Access Control and Process Control implementations.
Track security and compliance KPIs and support reporting to senior management.
Monitor SAP Security Notes and ensure timely compliance actions.
Maintain high customer satisfaction by delivering reliable and scalable security solutions.

Candidate Profile

Education Criteria

A formal degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

Professional Experience Requirements

A minimum of 7 years of experience managing SAP Security and Authorization.
Proven experience in enterprise-level SAP environments and global operations.
Demonstrated exposure to SAP S4 HANA upgrades and transformation projects.
Experience working in global teams across regions, departments, and technologies.

Technical Competencies

Strong expertise in SAP Security and authorization frameworks across ECC, Fiori, HR, S4 HANA, and cloud platforms.
Experience in SAP GRC Access Control and Process Control implementations.
Configuration experience in GRC modules, including ARA, ARM, BRM, and SoD ruleset management.
Knowledge of SAP Security role redesign methodologies and best practices.
Experience in audit management, internal controls, and compliance governance.
Exposure to SAP BTP, IAS, IPS, IAG, and cloud security models.
Understanding of SAP security roadmap and emerging SAP technologies.
Foundational knowledge of information security and cybersecurity concepts.
