Senior Professional Services DevOps Engineer

About the Opportunity

JFrog is hiring a Senior Professional Services DevOps Engineer to work directly with customers on DevOps and DevSecOps implementations using the JFrog platform and related cloud-native technologies.

This is a remote U.S. opportunity restricted to candidates located on the East Coast. JFrog also states that remote work is available for candidates who live outside a reasonable commuting distance of its Atlanta office.

What You’ll Do

• Work with JFrog customers to design, configure and build CI/CD pipelines and DevOps platforms.
• Implement solutions using JFrog products alongside technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code and cloud-native tooling.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Support and Development teams while working directly with developers and DevOps professionals.
• Design and build CI pipelines involving technologies such as Docker, npm, Java and PyPI.
• Work with binary repositories, binary scanning, distribution and continuous-build tooling.
• Train JFrog customers and members of the open-source community.
• Provide customer feedback that can influence JFrog product features and roadmap decisions.
• Stay current with DevOps, DevSecOps and CI/CD technologies and practices.
• Build strong technical relationships with customers and the broader JFrog community.

Required Experience

Candidates need at least seven years of experience working with continuous-integration technologies and related DevOps tooling.

Relevant technologies include CI servers, Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Maven, Docker and npm. Candidates should also be able to design software-delivery pipelines using binary repository management, scanning and continuous-integration tools.

Infrastructure and Cloud Skills

The role requires a strong understanding of infrastructure and operations, including storage, networking, compute, security and cloud environments.

Hands-on Linux experience is mandatory, as is hands-on experience with at least one major cloud infrastructure platform such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.

Experience with continuous deployment and delivery technologies such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible and Kubernetes is also required.

Customer-Facing Responsibilities

This is a professional-services position, so candidates should be comfortable working directly with customers and explaining technical concepts clearly.

Experience supporting server-side software in both on-premises and cloud environments is expected. Software architecture design and product-development experience are considered additional strengths.

Remote Work Eligibility

This role is advertised as remote within the United States but is specifically restricted to the East Coast. Candidates should not treat this as nationwide U.S. remote eligibility.

JFrog also states that the remote arrangement is intended for candidates who are outside a reasonable commuting distance of the company’s Atlanta office.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $155,000 to $165,000 USD per year. Actual base salary depends on factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.

The role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments and includes an equity package of restricted stock units. These additional forms of compensation are separate from the stated base salary.
