Barrie, ON – National Bank of Canada is seeking a motivated and client-focused Mortgage Development Manager to join their team in the Barrie, Ontario, and surrounding area. In this role (Job number: 24485), you will be instrumental in developing residential financing strategies for clients, including purchases, mortgage pre-approvals, and external refinancing. You will leverage your excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal National Bank partners and external real estate professionals like realtors and builders. Keeping these partners informed about National Bank’s mortgage solutions will be key to expanding your client base.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least one year of relevant experience, or a college diploma with three years of relevant experience. Crucially, business development experience and the ability to thrive in a target-driven environment with a 100% commission-based salary are essential. A strong understanding of mortgage credit solutions and financing products is also required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Helping clients develop tailored residential financing strategies.
- Identifying client financial needs and making appropriate referrals.
- Establishing and nurturing lasting relationships with external real estate partners.
- Collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure seamless client service and retention.
- Participating in business development activities and events.
- Adhering to established processes, procedures, and compliance guidelines.
- Continuously updating knowledge of National Bank’s mortgage offerings and market trends.
