Target pay range is $175,000 to $239,000 per year. The final offer depends on skills, experience, and qualifications. The role is also eligible for incentive programs and a comprehensive benefits package that supports physical, financial, and emotional well-being.

Role Overview
The Marketing Director, Digital Products serves in a senior leadership capacity and leads the Digital Product Marketing function. This role owns the strategy, vision, delivery, and performance of core digital experiences, including FannieMae.com. In addition, the position shapes a connected digital ecosystem that drives measurable business outcomes for partners and audiences.
The leader also supports the evolution of digital marketing from a shared service structure into a strategic business partner that delivers digital products and experiences.
Core Responsibility Areas
Digital Product Strategy and Oversight
The role leads strategy and lifecycle management for front-end digital products. Therefore, it ensures alignment with enterprise priorities and changing market needs. Responsibilities include product planning, roadmap development, launch coordination, and continuous optimization.
The director also guides a digital experience strategy that strengthens engagement across platforms. In parallel, the role oversees digital content direction to maintain message consistency, strengthen SEO, and improve search engine optimization performance. Performance tracking across audiences and objectives remains a priority, with insights used to refine and enhance digital outcomes.
Cross-Functional Alignment
Strong partnerships across Technology, Marketing, Analytics, Design, Compliance, and Legal functions are essential. The leader builds stakeholder alignment, supports prioritization decisions, and ensures that talent capacity and tools align with strategic goals. User feedback, journey mapping, tagging, and taxonomy integration also form part of this collaboration model.
Audience Insight and Market Awareness
The position leads the development and refinement of data-informed customer journeys. It represents audience needs in prioritization and design decisions while using testing and analytics to identify friction points and improvement opportunities. Competitive analysis and industry monitoring, including emerging AI applications, inform strategic direction and roadmap decisions.
Team Leadership and Operational Guidance
The director builds and develops a team of digital product owners and analysts. Coaching, mentoring, and performance alignment remain ongoing responsibilities. In addition, the role coordinates contributors and may oversee vendor partnerships to ensure consistent execution standards and high-quality delivery.

Candidate Profile
Required Background
Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in digital product management within financial services or other regulated, complex industries. Experience leading digital transformation initiatives that involve marketing technology is essential.
They demonstrate success in building and guiding digital product teams while delivering large-scale initiatives that involve multiple workstreams. A strong understanding of content strategy, analytics, performance measurement, and audience insight is expected. Hands-on experience with marketing technology stacks and emerging AI tools is also important.
Strong communication, leadership influence, and the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences are critical. Candidates hold a bachelor’s-level degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Experience
A master’s-level degree is preferred. Ten or more years of digital product management experience in regulated sectors adds value. Experience managing large budgets, working with agile product development practices, and leading website or digital solution strategies that drive customer engagement is beneficial. Familiarity with platforms such as Acquia, Drupal, Google Analytics, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud strengthens the candidacy.
Work Environment and Additional Details
Most roles require regular presence at the designated office location, with cadence determined by leadership. Proximity to the assigned office is preferred unless otherwise noted.
