The Contract Project Development Coordinator plays a vital role in driving Electrify America’s EV infrastructure growth. From early-stage due diligence through site commissioning, this position ensures that every project meets quality, budgetary, and timeline expectations while aligning with the company’s sustainability goals.

What You’ll Do

1. Project Leadership & Coordination
Lead and manage a portfolio of EV charging projects from concept to completion, overseeing design, engineering, permitting, construction, and commissioning.

2. Performance Oversight
Monitor project progress with a focus on cost efficiency, scheduling, and quality assurance. Utilize analytical insights to identify potential risks and maintain proactive solutions.

3. Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, site hosts, public utilities, and permitting authorities to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery.

4. Process Optimization
Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing customer experience, operational efficiency, and overall project performance.

Desired Expertise

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction, project development, or related fields.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Core Skills:

  • Project Management: Skilled in managing large portfolios with structured tracking and reporting.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Financial Oversight: Competent in analyzing budgets, schedules, and financial trends.
  • Problem Solving: Analytical mindset for addressing challenges proactively.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to documentation and milestone tracking.

Technical Knowledge (Required):

  • Experience with preconstruction and construction management processes.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and administrative tracking.
  • Ability to operate independently with a sense of urgency and ownership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing permitting and utility coordination.
  • Strong background in cost review, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Familiarity with project management software platforms.

Work Environment & Flexibility

This role offers a remote working option (up to 100%) with required travel up to 50%. Candidates should be based in Chicago or nearby regions to support regional site operations.
