Portland, OR – Intuitive Surgical, a global leader in robotic-assisted minimally invasive care, is seeking a Network Support Engineer to join its dynamic IT team. This remote-friendly role offers a competitive salary of 125,100–125,100–180,000, depending on experience and location.
About the Role
As a Network Support Engineer 3, you’ll provide Tier 2 technical support for wired/wireless networks, software applications, and digital solutions in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You’ll collaborate with hospital IT teams, field service engineers, and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure seamless connectivity for life-enhancing medical technology.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Provide Tier 2 support for network and software issues
✔ Troubleshoot TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Firewalls, and cybersecurity concerns
✔ Work with hospital IT to ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and data privacy laws
✔ Assist in new product introductions (NPI) and system upgrades
✔ Up to 25% travel may be required
Who Should Apply?
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or 5+ years of network support experience
✅ Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Security+ are a plus
✅ Experience in medical device IT or hospital IT environments preferred
✅ Strong customer-facing skills and ability to explain technical details clearly
