Position Summary

The Licensed Small Commercial Insurance Inside Sales Consultant will join a consultative inbound sales team focused on serving small business owners. This opportunity is part of the 2026 talent pipeline, with a projected start date in April 2026. Selected candidates will be contacted as additional details become available.

This role is designed for licensed professionals who can confidently assess commercial risks, provide tailored insurance solutions, and contribute to a high-performing sales culture. The position operates on warm inbound leads; representatives focus on advising and closing rather than cold prospecting.

Core Responsibilities

Small Business Insurance Consultation

The consultant responds to inbound calls from pre-generated leads, qualifies applicants, and guides business owners through coverage options. Coverage discussions include Business Owner’s Policy, Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, Professional Liability, and Bonds. Through thoughtful consultation, the representative ensures that each policy aligns with the client’s operational risks and long-term objectives.

Sales Performance and Desk Management

The consultant maintains a disciplined workflow, prioritizes opportunities, and delivers timely outcomes. By operating in a results-driven environment, the representative consistently meets performance expectations while maintaining service excellence.

Underwriting Collaboration

For complex or higher-risk accounts, the consultant partners with the Inside Sales Underwriting team to structure profitable and compliant solutions. This collaboration supports both client satisfaction and business growth.

Customer Experience Delivery

The role requires a progressive mindset. Each interaction must reflect professionalism, clarity, and responsiveness. By combining technical knowledge with persuasive communication, the consultant builds trust and long-term client relationships.

Work Arrangement and Schedule

This position follows a remote schedule, with occasional in-office requirements as needed.

Candidates who reside near Charlotte, NC; Clinton, NY; Hartford, CT; San Antonio, TX; or Scottsdale, AZ are expected to work in the office three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday.

Training Program

  • Start: April 2026 (specific date to be announced)
  • Duration: 8 weeks
  • Training Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time
  • Time off is not accommodated during the training period.

Post Training Schedule

  • Eastern Time: Monday through Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Central Time: Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Mountain Time: Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Pacific Time: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation and Rewards

The annual base pay range for this role is $46,800 to $70,200, depending on experience, demonstrated competencies, and overall qualifications.

In addition to base compensation, consultants are eligible to earn monthly performance incentives. Average monthly incentive earnings range from $800 to $2,000, depending on results. The total rewards package may also include bonus opportunities, recognition awards, and additional incentives.

The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in commercial insurance, persuasive communication skills, and a competitive drive to achieve results. In addition, the individual thrives in structured sales environments and remains focused under performance expectations.

Education and Licensing Requirements

An active Commercial Property and Casualty license is required at the time of application. Candidates must also be eligible to maintain a full Property and Casualty license in their resident state and in 48 non-resident states, excluding Hawaii and Alaska.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of recent Property and Casualty experience
  • Prior call center or inbound sales experience
  • Strong negotiation capability, including the ability to communicate complex or difficult coverage decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational discipline and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Competitive mindset with consistent achievement orientation
