About the Role:
The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for security best practices and possess a deep understanding of DevOps principles. This individual will play a crucial role in integrating security measures into the CI/CD pipeline, collaborating closely with development and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion security best practices within the CI/CD pipeline, working closely with development and operations teams.
- Design, develop, and implement automated security testing tools and processes to identify vulnerabilities early in the software development lifecycle.
- Implement robust monitoring solutions, respond to security incidents, and develop rapid response and debugging capabilities.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for operational procedures, configurations, and security best practices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements to existing systems and workflows to optimize development processes.
- Foster a collaborative and transparent DevOps culture, promoting efficiency and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience in DevOps, with a strong emphasis on security (DevSecOps).
- Extensive knowledge of security best practices, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
- Expert-level proficiency in GitHub and GitHub Actions, including repository management and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.) and experience with automation tools.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
Compensation and Benefits:
Western Digital offers a competitive salary range of $130,390 – $184,700 and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
