What You’ll Be Doing:
- Triage, Configure, and Install: You’ll be responsible for the smooth setup and ongoing management of various application servers, web servers, and Repliweb software.
- Patching & Security: Maintain the highest security standards by applying patches, managing SSL certificates, and ensuring system integrity.
- Performance Optimization: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues like memory bottlenecks, performance slowdowns, and database connectivity problems.
- Support & Resolution: Be the first line of defense, assisting with vendor support tickets and working as part of a team to resolve urgent application issues.
- On-Call Expertise: Provide essential support for the production environment, ensuring system uptime and addressing critical problems.
- Knowledge Sharing & Process Improvement: Document solutions, tips, and best practices, and actively participate in creating and refining effective Middleware application administration processes.
Who You Are:
- A Tech-Savvy Problem Solver: You have a knack for diagnosing problems and implementing solutions, with a strong understanding of ITSM concepts.
- A Master of Middleware: You possess 6+ years of experience administering various application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss) and web servers (Apache, IIS).
- A Scripting Superstar: You’re proficient in scripting languages like Python and shell scripting, leveraging them to automate tasks and streamline processes.
- A Collaborative Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment, fostering open communication and working effectively with colleagues.
- A Learning Machine: You’re passionate about staying current with the latest technologies and readily embrace opportunities to learn new skills.
Bonus Points:
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Cloud/Tomcat/WebLogic Certification
- Experience with transaction and performance monitoring tools (Introscope, Dynatrace)
- Experience with TDI (Template driven infrastructure), Ansible, and cloud/container architecture
