About the Opportunity

Databricks is hiring a Sr. Technology Partner Director – AI Code-Gen & Apps to build and scale strategic partnerships across AI coding agents, app-building platforms, developer tools, and related technology ecosystems.

This role is available remotely in California, with San Francisco also listed as an office location. The position combines strategic partnerships, business development, product integrations, joint go-to-market execution, ecosystem development, and technical partner strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and own partnership strategies for leading AI coding agents, app builders, and developer platforms.
  • Develop product integrations and joint solutions connected to Databricks Apps, Lakebase, and the broader Databricks platform.
  • Lead strategic partnerships from opportunity identification and joint product planning through launch and scale.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams to bring partner integrations to market.
  • Develop joint go-to-market programs that drive measurable customer adoption and business impact.
  • Drive field enablement so Databricks and partner teams can effectively position and deliver joint offerings.
  • Represent strategic partner needs internally and help influence product and ecosystem roadmaps.
  • Navigate complex partner relationships, including situations where companies may be both partners and competitors.

Required Experience

Candidates need at least seven years of experience in product partnerships, business development, or partner management.

At least three years of that experience should involve AI code-generation, app-building, developer-tool, or related ecosystems.

Partner and Ecosystem Expertise

The role requires a proven record of launching strategic ISV integrations and joint go-to-market motions with developer platforms, AI code-generation companies, or hyperscalers.

Candidates should understand developer-tool and database ecosystems, including areas such as Postgres, developer marketplaces, next-generation platform-as-a-service products, AI coding tools, and CI/CD workflows.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Strong influence across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Business Operations is required.

The successful candidate should be able to develop value propositions that resonate with both technical and commercial decision-makers and operate effectively in a high-growth environment.

Remote Work

This role is listed as remote in California, with San Francisco also available as an office location. WorkinVirtual should preserve California as the supported remote geography rather than presenting the position as nationwide U.S. remote.

Compensation

Databricks publishes three location-based pay zones for this role:

  • Zone 1: $178,800 to $245,850 USD
  • Zone 2: $161,000 to $221,300 USD
  • Zone 3: $152,000 to $209,000 USD

The employer states that these ranges represent salary for non-commissionable roles or OTE for commissionable roles. The listing does not clearly establish which treatment applies to this specific position, so WorkinVirtual should avoid describing the ranges simply as guaranteed base salary.

Total compensation may also include performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
