Legal Counsel – SaaS & Commercial Contracts (US Remote)

Job Overview

As Legal Counsel, you will lead commercial contracting for Storyblok’s AMER business while advising teams on data privacy, intellectual property, information security, corporate risk, employment matters, product initiatives, and legal operations. You will work extensively with Sales and collaborate across Marketing, Partners, Product, People, and other business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, redline, negotiate, and own SaaS enterprise sales contracts supporting the AMER sales team.
• Work with agreements including MSAs, GTC/Terms of Service, NDAs, DPAs, and related commercial contracts.
• Advise on data privacy, intellectual property, information security, and corporate risk mitigation.
• Review and negotiate partnership agreements with partners in the Americas.
• Support global review and negotiation of procurement and marketing contracts when required.
• Participate in HR-related projects and provide support on selected U.S. employment and labor law matters.
• Draft, review, and maintain company-wide policies according to applicable legal and governance requirements.
• Monitor developments in relevant laws and regulations and advise the business on emerging risks and required changes.
• Provide legal support for new product initiatives and feature launches.
• Prepare and deliver legal training for different teams.
• Own cross-functional legal projects across multiple business regions.
• Coordinate with local counsel and business stakeholders where required.
• Identify operational, compliance, and process gaps and lead improvement initiatives through implementation.
• Improve legal processes, templates, and governance frameworks across the organization.
• Build and maintain legal team documentation.
• Support administrative and project-based legal work as business priorities evolve.
• Conduct accurate and concise legal research requested by the team.
• Participate in Storyblok’s annual legal review and legal improvement process.

Required Qualifications

• Law Degree.
• Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of experience primarily focused on drafting, redlining, and negotiating sales contracts.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with Enterprise Sales teams on customer-facing commercial agreements.
• Experience negotiating agreements including MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, Terms of Service, and related SaaS contracts.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracting with deep expertise in sales contracts and legal processes.
• Broad and in-depth knowledge of the Americas legal framework.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of contracts under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across functions including Sales, Finance, HR, and Product.
• Ability to provide concise, practical legal advice to business teams.
• Ability to independently manage legal matters from beginning to end while working effectively within a broader legal team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• AI literacy and ability to use AI tools to support productivity, decision-making, and quality while applying appropriate judgment and critical thinking.

• SaaS or fast-paced technology experience providing in-house support to enterprise sales teams is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of legal topics affecting EMEA and APAC is preferred.

Compensation
