About the Opportunity
Feedzai is hiring a Risk & AI Manager to lead a cross-functional team helping financial institutions and merchants improve fraud prevention, machine-learning performance, risk strategy, and data-driven decision-making.
This is a remote position based in Colombia. The role sits within Feedzai’s Customer Success organization and combines technical leadership, data science, fraud-risk strategy, machine learning, client delivery, and people management.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a distributed team of Risk Consultants, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts across multiple customer engagements.
- Manage a portfolio that typically includes six to eight active client projects.
- Guide delivery of fraud-detection strategies, business rules, machine-learning models, and analytical insights.
- Translate complex customer objectives into data-driven solutions and technical action plans.
- Guide integration and validation of real-time and batch analytics within customer environments.
- Identify performance gaps and help teams develop practical improvements and recommendations.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Delivery on technical feasibility, performance requirements, and long-term strategy.
- Coach and develop team members through feedback, performance management, and career planning.
- Stay current with fraud trends, machine-learning practices, and their application in financial systems.
Required Background
Candidates need a master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or another technical or quantitative discipline.
The role requires a strong background in data science, fraud detection, or real-time decision systems.
Machine Learning and Data Skills
Hands-on machine-learning and data-analysis experience is required, together with scripting skills in Python, R, or similar analytical languages.
Familiarity with big-data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or cloud-native data pipelines is also expected.
Leadership and Client Delivery
Candidates should have experience managing technical teams in cross-functional delivery environments and be comfortable translating between business and technical needs.
Strong communication and storytelling skills are important because the role works directly with customer subject-matter experts as well as internal Product, Engineering, and Delivery stakeholders.
Financial Crime Experience
Experience in fraud prevention, anti-money laundering, risk strategy, or related financial-crime disciplines is highly valued.
Remote Work
This position is remote within Colombia.
