WORKINVIRTUAL CAREER TOOLS
Effective August 16, 2026. This policy explains how Remote Job Checker by WorkInVirtual, also called JobLens, handles information.
Information the extension accesses
When you deliberately open the extension on a webpage and select Analyze this job, JobLens temporarily reads the visible text and structured job-posting metadata on that active page. This access is required to provide the job-listing analysis you requested.
The extension does not monitor webpages in the background and does not access tabs you have not activated for analysis.
Local processing
Version 1.0 performs job-listing analysis locally in your browser. The webpage text used for analysis is not transmitted to WorkInVirtual, an artificial-intelligence provider, an advertising network, or another third party.
Saved jobs
If you choose Save job, the extension stores the job title, company, listing URL, detected work arrangement, analysis score, and analysis date in Chrome’s local extension storage. This information remains in that Chrome browser profile. You can remove individual saved jobs or delete all saved jobs from the extension’s Privacy & Settings page.
Information we do not collect
- Browsing history
- Résumés or application documents
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account identifiers
- Authentication credentials or passwords
- Financial or payment information
- Personal communications
- Analytics or advertising identifiers
External links
The extension includes user-initiated links to WorkInVirtual.com, including links to browse or search for remote jobs. Opening such a link is governed by the WorkInVirtual website privacy policy. The extension does not silently redirect searches, insert affiliate codes, or open promotional pages without your action.
Data selling and advertising
We do not sell extension user data. We do not use extension data for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated purposes.
Security and retention
Saved jobs are retained locally until you remove them, clear extension storage, or uninstall the extension. Since version 1.0 does not transmit analyzed page content to our servers, WorkInVirtual does not maintain a server-side copy of that content.
Children
The extension is intended for people seeking employment and is not directed to children under 13.
Automated-assessment limitation
JobLens provides informational signals only. It cannot guarantee that a job, employer, recruiter, compensation claim, or geographic eligibility statement is legitimate or accurate. Independently verify employers and never pay money to obtain a job or receive wages.
Changes
If a future version introduces materially different data practices, we will update this policy, revise the Chrome Web Store disclosures, and provide any notice or consent required by applicable policies or law before the new processing occurs.
Contact
Questions or privacy requests can be submitted through the WorkInVirtual contact page. WorkInVirtual’s primary website is workinvirtual.com.
