Role Summary

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will contribute to advancing research in quantum integrated photonics. The role involves designing, fabricating, and testing novel photonic devices that enable quantum sensing and computation. The selected candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, advancing research from theory to practical application in national interest projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced research in quantum integrated photonics and related fields.
  • Develop innovative quantum sensing solutions addressing national challenges.
  • Prepare and publish peer-reviewed papers and technical reports.
  • Present findings at national and international forums.
  • Collaborate with scientists across divisions to support interdisciplinary projects.

Candidate Profile

Education Requirement:

  • A PhD in Physics or a closely related field, awarded within the last five years.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Strong foundation in quantum optics and quantum information science.
  • Experience in designing, fabricating, and testing integrated photonic circuits.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative research environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • U.S. Export Control compliance eligibility (no export control license required).
