Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Media Outreach: Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies, focusing on priority products, pipeline advancements, and corporate functions.
- Media Relations Expertise: Leverage existing reporter relationships and cultivate new ones to secure impactful media coverage.
- Company Spokesperson: Serve as a confident and articulate spokesperson, representing Amgen’s perspective on complex issues.
- Content Development: Create compelling communications and media materials, including press releases, talking points, and briefing documents.
- Spokesperson Training: Lead media preparation and training sessions for company executives.
- Agency Management: Provide strategic direction and oversight to PR agency partners.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of communications or media relations experience, with a preference for 7-12 years in health media relations, particularly in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.

- Strong understanding of the biotechnology industry and the regulatory landscape.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
