TE Connectivity Announces Remote Senior Product Engineer Role in the U.S. with Competitive Salary
Global industrial technology leader TE Connectivity is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Product Engineer to join their dynamic team remotely within the United States. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive base salary ranging from $100,200 to $150,300 annually (commensurate with experience and location), along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Product Engineer will be a product expert within one of three key areas:
- High Speed IO: Serving as the go-to expert for high-speed connectors, cages, and cable assemblies, from market definition to production. This includes advising on product extensions and alternative solutions.
- Power: Providing expertise on power connectors, bus bars, and cable assemblies, with a deep understanding of the global product line, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
- ICC (Internal Connector and Cable Assemblies): Acting as the product specialist for internal connectors and cable assemblies throughout their lifecycle.
Furthermore, the role encompasses responsibilities in product development, including:
- Collaborating closely with customers and internal teams to gather Voice of Customer (VOC) and translate it into design concepts and specifications.
- Conceiving concepts and conducting feasibility studies, including mechanical and thermal simulations.
- Developing detailed designs with 2D/3D drawings and performing DFMEA and tolerance analysis.
- Building and validating prototype samples.
- Providing crucial technical support to Operations, Quality, and Production teams.
- Resolving product-related issues and managing engineering and product change notifications.
- Building a strong understanding of market and customer needs.
- Offering technical support to customers, sales, product management, and plant teams.
- Working with global manufacturing resources and suppliers to meet technical, quality, and cost objectives.
- Creating comprehensive technical documentation.
What You Should Bring:
Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience) and at least 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience with electrical components, mechanical structure design, manufacturing tooling, or process development.
Additional valuable skills and knowledge include:
- Knowledge in socket or connector design.
- Familiarity with switch and server equipment.
- Understanding of material selection, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, and product qualification.
- Proficiency in 3D Design Applications (e.g., ProE, Spaceclaim).
- Basic knowledge of raw materials, industry standards, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, 6sigma, DOE, 8D).
- The ability to work effectively in a global environment and collaborate across different time zones.
- A proactive, coachable, and growth-oriented mindset with a strong customer focus.
