Role Overview
Samsung is seeking a disciplined and results-oriented Education Account Executive to support end-user engagements in partnership with CDW, one of its most strategic channel partners in the U.S. enterprise market. Although the position is remote, the preferred candidate will be based in Chicago, Illinois.
This role serves as a market business leader in the education vertical, delivering mission-driven display solutions to K–12 and higher education institutions. In addition to driving revenue growth, the Account Executive ensures an exceptional client experience while contributing to both near-term and long-term go-to-market strategies.
Core Areas of Responsibility
Education-Focused Account Leadership
The Education Account Executive serves as the primary point of contact for CDW end-user customer engagements within the education sector. The role involves managing and expanding relationships across K–12 and Higher Education accounts, while consistently delivering value-driven solutions aligned with client objectives.
Revenue Growth & Portfolio Expansion
The position is responsible for growing revenue across Samsung’s B2B display portfolio, including:
- Interactive displays
- Digital signage
- Direct view LED solutions
- Desktop monitors
- Display software and integrated solutions
Through strategic sales planning, effective pipeline management, and accurate forecasting, the Account Executive is expected to meet and exceed established revenue and profitability targets.
Strategic Collaboration & Business Planning
Close collaboration with Samsung’s product, marketing, operations, supply chain, and finance teams is essential to ensure seamless customer experiences. Additionally, the role supports joint business planning sessions, quarterly business reviews, and other strategic meetings with CDW to drive mutual growth.
Field Engagement & Market Insights
The Account Executive partners with CDW inside and field sales teams to lead co-selling initiatives and strengthen end-user engagement. By analyzing sell-through performance, monitoring market trends, and assessing competitor activities, the role leverages data-driven insights to refine strategy and execution.

Ideal Candidate
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree required
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated success in strategic account management
- Strong experience selling into K–12 and Higher Education markets
- Deep understanding of the CDW ecosystem
- Proven track record in driving revenue growth within the B2B technology sector
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of interactive flat panel and display technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced negotiation and relationship management capabilities
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and presentation development
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Travel & Work Requirements
- Presence at CDW offices approximately 60% of the time (Tuesday through Thursday or as needed), primarily in Chicago
- Ability to travel within the United States up to 70% to support education customers and attend national or regional trade shows
Compensation & Benefits
For candidates based in Illinois, the expected salary range is $114,500 to $141,500, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic considerations. Final compensation will reflect relevant skills, internal equity, and market factors.
