Role Overview
Visa is seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer to join its Business-to-Business Identity and Access Management team, which functions under the broader Cybersecurity organization. This global team supports secure access to business portals and services while proactively responding to evolving cyber threats, regulatory requirements, and complex technology architectures. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable IAM solutions through robust testing practices and automation.
Core Responsibility Areas
Quality Assurance Environment Management
The engineer supports and maintains QA and testing environments by troubleshooting integration issues, ensuring application availability, and performing root cause analysis. In addition, the role ensures that test environments remain stable and closely aligned with production conditions.
Test Planning and Execution
The position involves developing and executing functional, regression, and post-deployment test plans for Java and .NET Core-based B2B IAM systems. Moreover, the engineer authors detailed test cases, test scripts, and automation workflows aligned with product requirements.
Automation and CI Integration
The role contributes to automation frameworks using Selenium with Java and Postman or Newman. At the same time, the engineer helps build and maintain CI pipelines through Jenkins, supporting continuous testing across development cycles.
API, Performance, and Stress Testing
The engineer conducts API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and OpenAPI. Additionally, the role designs and executes performance and stress tests with JMeter or LoadRunner to identify system bottlenecks and scalability risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Active participation in Scrum ceremonies, sprint reviews, and cross-team demonstrations is expected. The engineer collaborates closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders while also providing feedback on code quality and test design.
Continuous Improvement and Release Validation
The role supports continuous improvement by reviewing test strategies and contributing insights during development. Furthermore, the engineer assists with post-release validation to ensure production stability and prevent regressions.
