Position Overview

The Global Paid Search Manager will lead Danone’s search capability worldwide, ensuring consistent expertise across internal teams and agency partners. This role focuses on evolving Danone’s search approach in the rapidly changing search landscape while creating relationships between Media, Platforms & Services, and agency partners.

This position emphasizes orchestrating a strategic approach across paid, owned, and earned channels, including traditional SEM, retail/e-commerce search, social search, and AI-powered platforms. The manager will drive capability-building and ensure best-in-class execution across global markets.

Primary Responsibilities

Global Search Strategy & Capability

  • Develop and implement global search capability roadmaps for SEM, retail search, social search, and LLM search, aligned with the Digital Engine.
  • Build and maintain playbooks, governance structures, and partnerships to ensure world-class search performance.
  • Monitor emerging trends in Search, AI, retail media, and social platforms to keep Danone future-ready.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate closely with Brand, Media, Platforms & Services, and E-commerce teams to integrate search strategies into retail media, shopper journeys, and marketplace activations.
  • Collaborate with Content Factory to ensure AI-optimized assets fuel search across platforms.
  • Partner with Influence and Advocacy teams to integrate social listening and advocacy insights into search strategies.
  • Work with IT and Data teams to leverage first-party data and predictive analytics to target and personalize.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Conduct workshops, playbooks, and training sessions to upskill marketers and support the adoption of global best practices.
  • Challenge and develop agency partners to ensure delivery of top-tier search execution.

Expected Deliverables

  • Adoption of global search frameworks and playbooks across local markets.
  • Efficiency gains and reduction of waste in SEM, retail search, and social search.
  • Implementation of integrated journeys across Search, platforms, and e-commerce.
  • Pilots with agency partners to embed future search strategy.
  • High market satisfaction with global capability support and agency alignment.

Required Employee

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Digital, or Business.
  • 8+ years’ experience in search, media, or digital marketing, ideally within global organizations or agencies.
  • Experience in retail media and e-commerce search strongly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing agencies and building capabilities at scale.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong functional knowledge of paid search marketing, including SEM, retail media, social search, and e-commerce.
  • Familiarity with emerging search models such as LLMs, Retail & Assistants, and evolving platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop frameworks, playbooks, and training programs that scale across markets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management across global and local teams, as well as external partners.
  • Data-driven and analytical, able to link performance insights to strategic decisions.
