Role Overview
Kmart is seeking a Senior Engineer – Martech to join its fast-growing marketing technology team. This position is central to designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions that power personalized customer experiences across channels, including web, mobile, email, paid media, and more.
You will be a technical leader, driving the integration of tools like Braze and Tealium, and working closely with marketing, engineering, and data teams to build a next-generation customer engagement and loyalty platform.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Martech Engineer, you will:
- Lead the technical rollout and optimization of Braze across digital platforms.
- Develop and integrate personalized, automated journeys (push, in-app, SMS, email).
- Stay ahead of new features and trends to evolve Kmart’s Martech ecosystem.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable customer experiences.
- Troubleshoot and optimize integrations across various tools, including Tealium CDP, Optimizely, Google Tag Manager, and New Relic.
- Support advanced experimentation, data flows, and system enhancements.
- Contribute to the growth of a modern marketing and loyalty platform.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and a passion for customer-focused innovation. To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Hands-on experience implementing Braze (SDKs, APIs, Webhooks, Currents).
- Strong background in JavaScript, JSON, REST APIs, and ideally mobile SDKs.
- Familiarity with CDPs such as Tealium AudienceStream or Segment.
- Proficiency in tag management systems (Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch, Tealium iQ).
- Understanding of CRO and experimentation tools, such as Optimizely, Dynamic Yield, or Adobe Target.
- Experience with analytics platforms such as Amplitude or GA4.
- Knowledge of Git, SVN, or similar version control tools.
- A growth mindset with a focus on continuous learning and innovation.
