Role Overview

The Head of Logistics ESK plays a critical leadership role within Volvo Construction Equipment in Eskilstuna. This position carries end-to-end responsibility for plant supply chain and logistics operations, while actively contributing to the long-term transformation of manufacturing capabilities. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight and people development.

As a key member of the plant leadership team, the Head of Logistics supports both current production demands and future initiatives that strengthen competitiveness, sustainability, and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities and Focus Areas

End-to-End Logistics and Supply Chain Operations

The role oversees planning, material control, material handling, warehouse management, logistics development, and paint shop operations. Through structured processes and continuous improvement, the position ensures stable, efficient, and future-ready logistics flows.

Operational Excellence and Digital Transformation

The Head of Logistics drives modernization through automation, digitalization, and data-driven decision-making. By leveraging AI, analytics, and intelligent systems, logistics performance and reliability continue to improve while supporting sustainable operations.

Leadership and People Development

The position leads approximately 170 employees through seven direct leaders. A strong coaching mindset supports engagement, capability building, and long-term talent development across the organization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Close cooperation with other plant leaders and cross-functional teams ensures alignment between logistics strategy, production goals, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Strong relationships across the organization enable effective execution and shared success.
