Position Overview
The Finance Operational Risk Management (FORM) Lead Associate will serve as a key advisor within the Finance division, guiding risk identification and assessment efforts to safeguard the company’s reputation, security, and financial stability. This role partners with business leaders to ensure operational effectiveness, compliance, and sound governance across all Finance processes.

Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in Finance business process controls, providing coaching and mentoring to junior staff.
- Manage day-to-day projects, monitor progress, and offer guidance to other Risk and Controls analysts and consultants.
- Conduct first-level reviews of work and documentation, ensuring risk objectives are met.
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to address issues, track remediation, and implement corrective actions.
- Strengthen and enhance governance, risk, and control frameworks within the FORM team and the broader Finance division.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels, from staff to VP.
- Lead Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and process-mapping exercises to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that promote operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Required Experience:
- 4+ years in audit, risk assessment, risk management, internal control, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of risk and controls frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and training junior staff
- Project management expertise, including multi-tasking and prioritization
- Ability to build cooperative relationships and interact effectively across all levels
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
- Demonstrated change management experience with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong consulting and influencing skills for stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of mortgage industry operations and risk assessment practices
- Experience in audit, controls testing, or financial services
- Familiarity with Workiva, Archer, or equivalent enterprise GRC tools
