Purpose of the Role

The Merchandising Operations Manager will oversee the performance of European e-commerce platforms (.com and App) by driving:

  • Inventory & Allocation Management – ensuring optimal stock availability across distribution centers.
  • Merchandising Operations Strategy – aligning with cross-functional teams to streamline processes.
  • Personalization Services – scaling Adidas’ premium personalization offering across markets.

Your contribution will impact sales, profitability, and consumer satisfaction across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Product Merchandising teams in tracking product cycles, stock positions, and availability reporting.
  • Act as the primary contact between E-Commerce, Product Supply, and Supply Chain Management to identify risks, surface opportunities, and guarantee timely product availability.
  • Lead initiatives related to multinode distribution to maximize delivery efficiency by shipping from the nearest warehouse node.
  • Oversee campaign management for brand and performance teams, delivering feedback and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with deployment teams on product assortment decisions, ensuring articles are allocated strategically across regions.
  • Contribute to personalization projects, pre-orders, partner programs, and stock management initiatives to enhance e-commerce capabilities.
  • Support expansion of local e-commerce distribution centers and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.

Key Relationships

You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Europe, including:

Skills and Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in merchandising, supply chain, or related functions (e-commerce experience preferred).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with stock management/reporting tools (SAP, Power BI, or similar) is highly valued.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • A project management and operations background is an advantage.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
