Role Overview

The company is seeking a Business Controller for its multinational Research & Development (R&D) department in Sickla, just minutes from central Stockholm. This position plays a vital role in supporting the R&D management team with financial insights, analysis, and decision-making during a pivotal period of change in the industry.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of R&D, the Business Controller will be an integral member of the management team and lead a small support group focused on business and financial excellence.

Core Responsibilities

Lead the financial follow-up and performance reviews of R&D operations.
Collect, consolidate, and forecast financial data across all R&D activities.
Prepare detailed business case calculations and strategic recommendations.
Proactively contribute to achieving defined financial goals.
Develop and optimize financial processes in Antura, Power BI, and ERP systems.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting using KPIs and scorecards.
Act as a sparring partner to the R&D team on financial and strategic matters.
Manage and mentor a small team providing business support.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education & Background

University degree in Finance or Accounting.
Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in finance or analytical roles.

Skills & Competencies

Advanced proficiency in Excel (including Power Query & Power Pivot) and SAP.
Strong experience with large-scale data and BI tools (QlikView, QlikSense, Power BI).
Highly analytical and structured approach with a strong business acumen.
