Karachi, Pakistan – K-Electric, one of Pakistan’s leading power distribution companies, is currently seeking a highly qualified Manager – GSM West to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the erection, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment in grid stations across Karachi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grid Station Management: Oversee the operations of grid stations, ensuring their efficient and reliable performance.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and equipment, including EHV, HV, MV, and LV systems.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure the optimal performance of grid stations.
- Fault Analysis and Resolution: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults promptly, minimizing disruptions to power supply.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures, prioritizing the well-being of employees and the public.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with other departments within K-Electric to ensure smooth operations and efficient resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in grid station operations and maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment and systems.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
