Role Overview
The Workshop Controller at Renault Trucks Felixstowe is a senior professional responsible for the efficient management of the workshop. Reporting directly below the Dealerpoint Manager, the role ensures that all service and repair work meets time, quality, and profitability standards. This position combines workshop supervision, customer interaction, and team development, playing a key role in optimizing workshop productivity and profitability.

Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage workshop operations, ensuring smooth workflow from planning to job completion
- Monitor service and repair quality, invoice accuracy, and claim documentation
- Motivate, develop, and manage team performance, addressing day-to-day employee issues
- Oversee customer interactions, managing expectations, and problem-solving
- Plan and budget workshop productivity and efficiency targets
- Report workshop KPIs and identify ongoing training needs for employees
- Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives to maintain open communication
Required Skills and Experience
- HGV workshop experience at a supervisor or above level
- Strong employee management and supervisory experience
- Ability to identify ongoing employee training needs
- Reporting and budgeting expertise related to workshop productivity
- Customer-facing experience with excellent problem-solving skills
- Preferably a Level 3 HGV Technician qualification
