Job Description: Junior Tax Specialist – Remote

Your Impact:
You will play a critical support role in ensuring our multi-entity, international business meets its tax obligations efficiently. Reporting to finance leadership and collaborating with external advisors, you will help build scalable processes and gain invaluable exposure to the tax complexities of a modern SaaS business.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the preparation and filing of US and Canadian state tax returns.

Manage tax compliance calendars to guarantee all deadlines are met without exception.

Support the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and account reconciliations.

Collect, prepare, and maintain meticulous documentation for external tax advisors and auditors.

Assist with sales and indirect tax compliance, including nexus tracking, registrations, and filings.

Maintain accurate tax records and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
What You Bring (Required Qualifications):

1–3 years of professional experience in a tax-related role, either within an accounting firm or an in-house finance department.

Hands-on experience preparing or supporting US federal and/or state tax returns.

Solid understanding of core US tax principles, including nexus and compliance requirements.

Must be based in the United States and available to work core Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.

A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):

Exposure to the SaaS, technology, or software industry.

Familiarity with financial tools like NetSuite, Stripe, Excel, and Google Workspace.
