We are seeking a proactive, community-embedded Search Lead to own the end-to-end recruitment pipeline for our Fellowship programs in the Denver region. This is a part-time, contract role (~25 hours/week) where you will serve as Watson Institute’s local ambassador. Your mission is to build a powerful network of partners, host engaging events, and directly recruit a cohort of outstanding, mission-aligned Fellows. Success is measured by your ability to generate quality applications, conduct interviews, and fill Fellowship seats through strategic, data-driven outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Research, map, and establish relationships with key organizations, universities, incubators, and community leaders in Denver to create a robust referral network.
-
Proactively identify and engage high-potential entrepreneurs through personalized outreach, LinkedIn, and community engagement.
-
Organize and lead compelling virtual and in-person information sessions, co-host events with partners, and represent Watson Institute at local gatherings.
-
Review applications, conduct preliminary interviews, and manage the candidate journey within Salesforce for your region.
-
Track key recruitment metrics, provide weekly progress reports, and continuously optimize your strategy based on performance data.
-
Participate in weekly team meetings and 1:1s to ensure alignment, share insights, and receive strategic guidance.
Who You Are (Must-Have Qualifications):
-
Natural ability to build trust and establish partnerships from scratch within the Denver community.
-
A self-starter who proactively seeks out and recruits talent, rather than waiting for applications.
-
Comfortable and compelling as a public speaker and presenter in both virtual and in-person settings.
-
Capable of working independently, managing a 25-hour/week schedule, and owning outcomes with minimal supervision.
-
Authentically passionate about entrepreneurship, leadership development, and creating opportunities for underserved communities.
-
Meticulous with data, follow-up, and project management.
Strongly Preferred Assets:
-
Already embedded with strong local connections in the entrepreneurial, nonprofit, or academic ecosystems.
-
Background as a founder, startup employee, or within innovation communities.
-
Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM), Excel, and data analysis.
-
Experience with content creation or digital outreach campaigns.
Contract Details:
-
~25 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
-
March 16, 2026, to May 31, 2026 (potential for extension).
-
A total project fee of $13,750, paid in monthly installments.
-
Must be based in or intimately familiar with the Denver, Colorado area. This is a community-based, remote-contractor role.
