Role Overview
The Innovation Operations Manager, Account Integrity & Security, plays a central role in shaping and advancing the company’s account protection strategy. Reporting to the Director of Account Integrity & Security, this individual collaborates closely with Product and Engineering teams to strengthen detection systems, operational tooling, and user experience safeguards.
The position requires proactive engagement with evolving threat patterns and industry developments. At the same time, the role ensures that emerging risks are addressed quickly and effectively, minimizing disruption to members and preserving marketplace trust. Candidates based in the United States may work remotely or in a hybrid arrangement, depending on location and business needs.
Team Context
The Risk & Fraud organization consists of four core focus areas: Account Integrity and Security, Merchant Risk, Transaction Fraud, and Marketplace Fraud. Although these groups operate as one integrated function, this role sits within Account Integrity and Security.
The team concentrates on protecting user accounts from compromise and abuse. It works to prevent account takeovers, enforce platform policies, strengthen identity signals, cluster related accounts, and uphold account authenticity across the ecosystem. Through coordinated technical and operational efforts, the group preserves user confidence and platform reliability.

1. Machine Learning Innovation and Controls
The manager drives strategy and execution for machine learning innovation, labeling operations, and the implementation of technical controls. This includes refining detection models and ensuring operational processes support accurate and scalable outcomes.
2. Product and Engineering Partnership
The role partners with Product and Engineering to design and develop tools with broad operational impact. By aligning technical roadmaps with operational priorities, the manager ensures that new systems meet real-world needs.
3. Tooling Strategy and Scalability
A long-term tooling vision is essential. The manager defines and advances strategies that improve efficiency, strengthen scalability, and support organizational growth.
4. Risk Assessment and Safeguards
For new initiatives, the role evaluates fraud exposure and confirms that appropriate technical protections are embedded from the outset. This forward-looking approach reduces vulnerabilities before they affect the marketplace.
5. Operational and Technical Alignment
The position bridges operational requirements and technical development efforts. By translating business needs into structured product requirements and proposals, the manager ensures clarity, feasibility, and measurable outcomes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate combines technical fluency with strategic judgment. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate complex risk environments while maintaining a focus on long-term system resilience.
Education and Experience
A background in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent professional experience in fraud prevention, trust and safety, or account security environments is also valued.
Preferred Expertise
- Demonstrated experience in machine learning operations, labeling strategy, and fraud detection systems
- Strong technical aptitude with a history of partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams
- Strategic thinking with a focus on scalability and roadmap alignment
- Experience drafting product requirements, managing requests for proposals, and overseeing vendor contracts
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization platforms such as Looker or Tableau to generate actionable insights
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $117,000 to $151,000 per year. In addition to base compensation, the role includes eligibility for equity awards, an annual performance bonus, and a competitive benefits package designed to support employees and their families.
