About the Role
As an Assistant Manager PQ Assurance, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and compliant laboratory practices, maintaining equipment, training staff, and overseeing the analysis of samples. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our laboratory results.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and injury-free operations in the laboratory.
- Maintain the health and performance of lab equipment through regular calibration and maintenance.
- Coordinate training for lab staff to ensure precise and safe analytical work.
- Oversee transparent sample collection and delivery processes to the lab.
- Ensure efficient BAZ analysis and timely reporting to the operations team.
- Monitor adherence to Pakistan Standard SOPs and conduct critical daily report reviews.
- Communicate effectively with management and others regarding laboratory issues.
- Manage post-analysis sample storage and maintain comprehensive analytical records.
- Maintain inventory of chemicals, glassware, plasticware, and broken items.
- Generate timely requests for the purchase of lab assets within budgetary limits.
- Coordinate with line management to develop action plans for emergencies.
- Ensure ISO accreditation of the laboratory and compliance with ISO 17025:2017 standards.
Qualifications
- Masters in Soil Science/Analytical Chemistry/Chemical Engineering (candidates with a PHD qualification will be preferred)
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Knowledge of ISO 17025:2017 standards
