What You’ll Do:
As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of BHP’s Mount Whaleback mine, the biggest single-pit open-cut iron ore mine in the world! Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventative and reactive maintenance on fixed plant equipment
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Collaborating with a team of skilled professionals
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
What You’ll Need:
- An Australian recognized Mechanical Trade qualification (Fitter, Boilermaker, or similar)
- Experience with fixed plant maintenance, particularly centrifugal pumps
- A strong commitment to safety
- A valid C Class driver’s license
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
