Brussels/Leiden – Airbus Public Safety and Security (PSS) is seeking a skilled Customer Support Engineer (m/f/d) to join their team in either Diegem, Belgium, or Leiden, Netherlands. This critical role ensures the smooth operation of Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) systems for public safety, defense, and other vital sectors. Keeping Critical Communication Lines Open:
Airbus PSS provides advanced communication and collaboration solutions to clients in over 80 countries. The Customer Support Engineer plays a vital part in maintaining these systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring agreed service levels are met. This involves 24/7 on-call availability for incident management, analyzing system faults, and collaborating with 3rd level support.
Responsibilities Include:
- Incident Management: Responding to and resolving system incidents, maintaining service levels.
- Problem Management: Implementing problem management strategies and utilizing diagnostic tools.
- Integration Tasks: Integrating hardware and software components within complex systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical training.
- Expertise in radio communication networks (4G/5G, TETRA, TETRAPOL, DMR), IP backbone, IT security, or virtualization technologies.
- Experience in configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting digital radio systems, operating systems (Linux/Windows), IT systems, and network management.
- Fluency in English and Dutch (written and spoken), and French (spoken).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Class B driving license.
