About the Role:
Reporting to the Mill Operations, Surface Projects, Technical & Strategy Superintendent, the Mill Projects Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating construction activities within the process, paste, and water treatment plants. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This involves collaborating with plant operations, maintenance, and contractors to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities.
- Ensure contractor training and support.
- Enforce safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor project progress and report regularly.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and contractors.
- Manage and resolve construction issues.
- Maintain high quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Assist in budget preparation, documentation, and scheduling.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education (an asset).
- Diploma or degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (an asset).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process plant supervision, construction, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience with SAP, JDE, or other ERP systems (an asset).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Schedule:
The position follows a 4 days on, 3 days off or 5 days on, 2 days off schedule at the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
