Role Overview
As part of the Healthcare Global Services business systems, the Senior IT Project Manager will act as a strategic change agent, leading business and technology initiatives that shape the organization’s future. This professional will bridge the gap between business operations and digital transformation, ensuring seamless execution of enterprise-level projects that align with STERIS’s long-term goals.
This remote position is open to qualified candidates currently residing in the Continental U.S., with preference for those in Eastern and Central time zones. The role requires approximately 20% travel.
What the Role Involves
- Strategic Leadership: Direct, coordinate, and implement large-scale business software projects that drive operational efficiency and innovation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with diverse stakeholders across business units to define scope, create timelines, and manage delivery for multiple complex systems.
- Process Optimization: Analyze, document, and redesign business processes to ensure alignment with evolving technologies and organizational strategy.
- Change Enablement: Serve as a change management advocate, preparing teams to adopt new systems and workflows smoothly.
- Agile Project Delivery: Lead within an agile/iterative framework—facilitating release planning, steering committee meetings, and continuous process improvement.
- Communication & Reporting: Provide clear updates on project status, risks, and solutions to senior management and ensure all teams remain aligned.
- Mentorship: Coach junior project managers, fostering skill growth and professional development within the IT organization.
Desired Expertise & Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement).
- At least 4 years of project management experience in large-scale, complex IT or business process projects.
- Proven track record managing full lifecycle software implementations—from requirements gathering to post-launch adoption.
- Experience facilitating collaborative workshops, producing business process maps, and executing gap analyses.
- Proficiency in formal project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience working with global ERP systems.
Preferred:
- PMP Certification.
- Prior experience in a global, multi-billion-dollar organization.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or Oracle systems.
- Residing in the Eastern or Central U.S. time zone.

Compensation & Benefits
STERIS values its employees and offers a market-competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $90,737.50 – $117,425.00 with eligibility for bonus participation.
Compensation may vary based on experience, education, and location.
