The Opportunity: Web Developer
We are seeking a talented Web Developer to own the technical execution of our digital presence. You will design, maintain, and optimize EFA’s websites and platforms to deliver a seamless, modern, and high-performing experience for our growing global student community.
Working at the intersection of marketing, student experience, and technology, you will be a key enabler of EFA’s growth and evolution. You will not just maintain code—you will propose innovative solutions, automate workflows, and help shape the future of our digital learning tools.
This is a part-time, flexible role for a developer who wants to apply their craft to a meaningful mission.
What You’ll Own
Development & Maintenance

Design, code, test, and deploy high-performance, secure web functionalities for EFA’s primary website and associated platforms.

Ensure ongoing maintenance, updates, and stability of all digital properties.

Integrate and maintain connections with third-party tools, including:

CRM systems (HubSpot or similar)

Payment gateways

Form builders and lead capture tools
-
Learning management systems (LMS) or membership platforms

Proactively identify and fix bugs, display issues, and performance bottlenecks.
User Experience (UX/UI) Optimization

Collaborate with the creative team to continuously improve site navigation, ergonomics, and visual design.

Ensure flawless cross-platform compatibility (mobile, tablet, desktop).

Optimize loading speed and Core Web Vitals.

Implement SEO best practices to improve organic visibility and user acquisition.
Innovation & Automation

Propose and implement innovative technical solutions to improve user experience and conversion rates.

Build automations for internal processes, including:

API integrations between platforms

Automated data flows and reporting

Student journey triggers

Contribute to the development of new digital platforms or online learning tools as EFA scales.
Collaboration & Support

Work closely with Marketing, Student Experience, and Leadership teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Provide technical support for ad-hoc web initiatives (landing page launches, A/B test setups, integration testing).

Document processes, code changes, and system architectures to ensure team alignment and scalability.
What You Bring (Required Qualifications)
Language
-
Bilingual proficiency in French and English (written and verbal)—required to collaborate with international teams and community members.
Experience

2+ years of professional experience in web development (front-end, back-end, or full-stack).
Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

Extensive hands-on experience with WordPress (custom theme development, child themes, advanced custom fields, plugin configuration/customization).

Experience connecting websites with third-party services via APIs, webhooks, or middleware.

Working knowledge of best practices for website speed optimization, security hardening, and SEO fundamentals.

Proven ability to build interfaces that work flawlessly across all device types.
