American Century Investments®, a premier global asset manager with a 65-year legacy, is seeking an accomplished Vice President, Relationship Manager for National Accounts to join our team remotely. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role responsible for driving strategic growth with our largest institutional partners in the Retirement, Workplace, and Insurance sectors.

If you are a seasoned investment professional with over a decade of experience in client relationship management and sales, and you excel at building C-suite relationships to expand product distribution, this executive remote position offers a compelling opportunity to shape the future of a leading firm.

Your Impact & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of top-tier national account firms. Develop and execute holistic business plans to expand distribution, secure new product placements, and retain significant existing assets.

  • Cultivate and leverage deep relationships with key decision-makers, including executive leadership, due diligence teams, and sales management at partner firms.

  • Represent the full suite of American Century’s investment capabilities—including global equities, fixed income, multi-asset strategies, and ETFs—to win placements on recommended lists and sub-advised mandates.

  • Work closely with the Head of Financial Institutions and field sales teams to integrate marketing and sales activities, ensuring alignment and maximizing pull-through from national accounts.

  • Evaluate opportunities from a shareholder perspective and manage contract negotiations to establish mutually beneficial, long-term partnerships.

  • Represent American Century Investments at industry conferences and client events as a subject matter expert and persuasive public speaker.

What You Bring (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the investment management industry, with a proven track record in client relationship management and sales for institutional accounts.

  • Active FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

  • Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more for client meetings and industry events.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Advanced designations such as CFA, CFP, or CIMA.

  • A graduate degree (e.g., MBA).

  • Direct experience in the Retirement Plan, Insurance, or Financial Institutions distribution channels.
