The Role: DeFi Interface Innovation

We’re seeking an accomplished Senior Frontend Engineer to architect the next generation of decentralized trading interfaces. You’ll lead development across CoW DAO’s product ecosystem, from cutting-edge trading platforms to analytics dashboards and documentation systems. This role offers substantial ownership over user-facing applications while collaborating with a distributed team of blockchain pioneers.

Technical Environment

  • Frontend Architecture: TypeScript, React, styled-components

  • Web3 Stack: Ethers.js, Hardhat, Solidity, IPFS, TheGraph, ENS

  • Quality Assurance: Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library

  • Data Analytics: Dune Analytics, Google Analytics

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performance trading interfaces for CoW Swap and protocol-based applications

  • Develop scalable, maintainable frontend architectures with emphasis on performance and accessibility

  • Architect reusable component libraries and system abstractions for rapid feature development

  • Pioneer decentralized interface deployment strategies using IPFS/ENS and Web3 infrastructure

  • Contribute to open-source monorepo projects including cowswap, cow-sdk, and bff

  • Drive product roadmap evolution through technical insights and feature proposals

  • Establish and enforce frontend best practices across code quality, testing, and architecture

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional frontend development experience

  • Expert proficiency in React, TypeScript, CSS, and state management libraries

  • Demonstrated experience integrating frontends with smart contracts and blockchain protocols

  • Strong understanding of Web3 technologies including Ethers.js/Viem and decentralized infrastructure

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and systematic debugging capabilities

  • Proven ability to mentor team members and drive architectural decisions

  • Deep familiarity with crypto DApp ecosystem, UX patterns, and market trends

  • Outstanding communication skills and collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • DevOps expertise including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and cloud services

  • Backend development experience with Node.js, databases, and API design

  • Active contributions to open-source Web3 projects or protocols

  • Experience with decentralized hosting and storage solutions

Location Requirements

This position is open to candidates globally, with preference for European time zones (±4 hours CEST). We are not currently hiring from the United States, Australia, or New Zealand.
