Our Security and Technology Solutions (STS) team is at the forefront of helping clients navigate complex security, interoperability, and IT operational challenges. We are expanding our Americas pre-sales team and seeking a Senior Security Solutions Architect to drive technical sales engagements, shape security offerings, and serve as the trusted advisor to enterprise clients.
The Opportunity: Senior Security Solutions Architect – Pre-Sales
As a Senior Security Solutions Architect, you will be the bridge between Rimini Street’s security capabilities and our clients’ most critical business requirements. You will partner with account executives, engagement managers, and product teams to assess client needs, architect effective security solutions, and articulate compelling value propositions that win deals and retain customers.
This is a high-visibility, high-autonomy role for a seasoned security professional who combines deep technical knowledge with consultative sales acumen. You will operate at the intersection of database, application, and hypervisor security, while also addressing broader IT operational domains including observability, monitoring, and change management.
Reporting Line: This role reports directly to the Manager, Security and Technology Solutions (STS) Pre-Sales.
What You’ll Own
Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Architecture

Partner with in-region sales teams (Americas) to qualify opportunities, address security requirements, and overcome technical objections.

Lead client-facing meetings, discovery sessions, and technical deep dives with prospective and existing clients.

Architect and present effective security solutions that align with client infrastructure, compliance obligations, and business objectives.

Prepare accurate and comprehensive proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and pricing inputs for STS solutions.

Script and deliver effective software demonstrations that illustrate Rimini Street’s security value proposition.
Subject Matter Expertise & Advisory

Maintain deep, hands-on expertise in database, middleware, application, and hypervisor security.

Apply working knowledge of enterprise applications/ERP, middleware, and virtualization technologies.
-
Leverage familiarity with leading defense-in-depth tools and layered security products; maintain deeper expertise in at least two security layers.

Advise clients on cybersecurity and privacy frameworks (NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, COBIT) and industry-specific compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NERC-CIP, GDPR, ITAR).
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as the voice of the customer to product marketing and product management teams, informing new security offerings and enhancements.

Collaborate with sales enablement to develop presentations, data sheets, ROI analyses, and training materials.

Partner with global support delivery (GSD) and client success teams to ensure seamless handoffs and high renewal rates.
Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership

Commit to ongoing professional development and knowledge sharing within the STS organization.

Contribute to projects that drive efficiency, scalability, and enhanced client outcomes.

Travel up to 10–20% to support sales opportunities in the assigned territory (post-pandemic, as required).
What You Bring (Required Qualifications)
Education
-
BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
-
MBA or MSc strongly preferred.
-
Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, etc.) are a significant plus.
Experience
-
10+ years total IT experience (15+ years strongly preferred), spanning both:

IT operations (internal enterprise or service provider environments)
-
IT vendor roles (developing or delivering IT products/services)
-

5+ years in pre-sales roles for IT products or services.
-
2+ years operational IT security experience, OR equivalent tenure in pre-sales roles for IT security products/services.

Hands-on, working knowledge of:

Enterprise applications / ERP (Oracle, SAP, or similar)

Database technologies

Middleware
-
Hypervisors and virtualization platforms

Technical & Security Frameworks
-
Working knowledge of general cybersecurity and privacy frameworks/standards (NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, COBIT).

Familiarity with industry-specific compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NERC-CIP, GDPR, ITAR, etc.).

Demonstrated understanding of defense-in-depth strategies and layered security tools.

Ability to articulate persuasive IT services value propositions across multiple formats:

Comfortable addressing challenging technical and security questions from C-level executives (CIO, CISO) and operational IT managers.

Ability to build and script effective software demonstrations.

Language Proficiency (Ideal Candidate)

Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Bilingual fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is highly preferred.
