We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our fast-growing, fully remote team. In this high-impact role, you will drive the technical development of our core product and platform, building scalable, secure, and customizable enterprise SaaS. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be a key voice in architectural decisions and own features from ideation to production. Your Mission: Architect and Scale the Core of a Modern Enterprise Platform

You will be a foundational technical leader, responsible for building the robust backend systems that power our AI-driven application for enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead backend development for new features using our Python Sanic framework, guiding the Product team on technical complexity and trade-offs to deliver rapid customer value.

  • Collaborate within a cross-functional engineering team to provide architectural guidance, ensuring our tech stack decisions support massive scalability and future growth.

  • Leverage your experience to build highly customizable solutions that meet the complex needs of large corporate customers, with a strong focus on security and data integrity.

  • Contribute deep expertise to discussions on end-to-end architecture and data flow, ensuring the application is high-performance, reliable, and cloud-native.

  • While our stack includes Python, Vue.js, Docker, and Kubernetes, we value curiosity and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies that benefit our future.

Who You Are (The Ideal Candidate):

  • A proven principal-level engineer or senior technical leader with 5+ years of experience building and deploying scalable, enterprise-grade SaaS applications.

  • Has deep backend expertise, preferably in Python or Go (experience with C# or Java is also acceptable).

  • Possesses a strong track record of making sound product architecture decisions and implementing system improvements, with a keen focus on secure coding practices.

  • Has a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, databases, application performance, scalability, and security.

  • Intellectually curious, stays informed on the latest tech trends, and enjoys evaluating different technologies for specific use cases.

  • An exceptional communicator who can explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

  • Based in Latin America and willing to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours daily for optimal collaboration.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • A target range of $60,000 – $90,000 USD, with final offers based on skills and experience. You will be hired as a full-time, long-term contractor.
