Facility Management Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance and operational excellence of Church properties in the Leeds region. This remote-enabled position ensures our facilities provide appropriate settings for worship and community activities while maintaining standards of reverence, safety, and functionality. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on facility oversight to support the spiritual mission of our religious community.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Operations Leadership:

  • Serve as primary contact for religious leaders regarding all facility matters

  • Develop and implement comprehensive annual operations and maintenance plans

  • Conduct regular facility inspections through in-person visits and digital tools

  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships to execute maintenance strategies

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, fire codes, and operational guidelines

Resource & Project Management:

  • Coordinate with project managers to identify and prioritize facility improvements

  • Collaborate with contract managers to secure qualified service providers

  • Monitor operational expenditures and manage within approved budget parameters

  • Oversee vendor performance to ensure work meets established specifications

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Maintain professional relationships with employees, contractors, and vendors

  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service in all interactions

  • Communicate effectively with religious leadership and community stakeholders

  • Provide clear written and verbal updates on facility status and projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in facility management, property management, or related field

  • 5+ years of professional experience in facility or property management

  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction procedures and business practices

  • Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Proven management skills in multi-discipline operational environments

  • Professional communication abilities with diverse stakeholder groups

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and facility management software

  • Willingness to travel within the facility management region (40-50% travel)

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Residence within one hour of Leeds or willingness to relocate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional membership in facility management associations

  • Experience with religious or institutional property management

  • Background in budget management and financial oversight

  • Familiarity with digital inspection tools and reporting systems

Location & Schedule

  • Primary remote work with regular facility site visits

  • Must reside within one hour of Leeds mission home

  • Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week

  • Significant regional travel required (40-50% average)
