We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to be a core architect of our new Integrations platform. This is a greenfield opportunity to build the mission-critical “USPS of MNTN”—the sophisticated distributed system that will move massive volumes of partner data with speed, reliability, and precision. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and evolve our Integrations platform to handle trillions of data tuples from hundreds of external partners and APIs.

  • Take full ownership of integration pipelines—from design and implementation in Golang to testing, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.

  • Efficiently process data from diverse sources including real-time APIs, live streams, and batch deliveries using modern messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, Pub/Sub).

  • Partner with technical and business stakeholders across the company to ensure data is routed and leveraged for maximum impact.

  • Contribute to on-call rotations, participate in technical design, and advocate for durable, future-proof solutions that avoid technical debt.

  • Creatively apply AI tools to enhance engineering workflows and system capabilities while maintaining our human-centric culture.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-5+ years of professional backend engineering experience building and scaling SaaS products.

  • Proficiency in a compiled/JIT language: Strong preference for Golang, but deep experience with Java, Kotlin, Rust, or C++ is highly valuable.

  • Experience with Messaging/Streaming Platforms: Hands-on work with Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, or Google Pub/Sub.

  • Strong Data Engineering Foundation: Comfort with PostgreSQL, understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, and experience with data pipelines. Familiarity with data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery) is a plus.

  • Computer Science Fundamentals: Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems principles.

  • Ownership & Pragmatism: An idealistic yet practical mindset—you aim for elegant, scalable architecture but focus on delivering tangible impact.

  • Excellent Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.
