About Retensa

Retensa is a global thought leader and innovator in employee retention and talent management strategy. We integrate organizational science, predictive analytics, and cloud-based technology to help organizations unlock the hidden insights in their workforce data. Our clients range from mid-market companies to global enterprises, all united by a common goal: reducing turnover and creating workplaces where both the company and its employees thrive.

We are trusted by organizations worldwide to uncover the truth about why employees join, stay, and leave. Our work directly impacts millions of employees across thousands of companies.

Our mission: To create a workplace where everyone is engaged by what they do and inspired by who they work for.

The Opportunity: Summer 2026 Employee Experience Associate

We are seeking curious, empathetic, and highly organized students to join our Talent Management Consulting team as Employee Experience Associates for Summer 2026.

In this role, you will become a frontline investigator of employee sentiment. You will conduct live, phone-based interviews with employees at organizations around the world—capturing their frustrations, motivations, and untold stories during critical moments: when they join (New Hire Interviews), when they consider staying (Stay Interviews), and when they leave (Exit Interviews) .

Your work will directly inform our clients’ retention strategies. Every conversation you have, every insight you capture, helps organizations build stronger cultures and more engaged workforces.

This is not a passive internship. You will speak with real employees, document real frustrations, and contribute to real organizational change.

What You’ll Do

Employee Interviewing & Insight Capture

  • Conduct live, phone-based qualitative interviews with employees across diverse industries and global locations.

  • Listen actively to uncover the underlying drivers of employee engagement, frustration, and turnover.

  • Document interview findings with accuracy, clarity, and attention to nuance.

  • Identify organizational trends and patterns across multiple clients and employee populations.

Talent Management Consulting Support

  • Collaborate with senior consultants to synthesize interview data into actionable insights.

  • Contribute to client deliverables and internal knowledge repositories.

  • Participate in team discussions on organizational development, predictive analytics, and retention strategy.

Skill Development & Real-World Exposure

  • Gain hands-on experience in management consulting, HR analytics, and organizational development.

  • Develop expertise in employee listening methodologies (Exit, Stay, and New Hire Interviews).

  • Work alongside experienced practitioners at the intersection of behavioral science and cloud-based HR technology.
