About the Role: Translating Business Strategy into Actionable Technical Requirements

Are you a strategic thinker who excels at bridging the gap between business objectives and technical execution? WorkinVirtual is partnering with a global technology firm to find a skilled Business Analyst to join their remote product development team. This is a mid-level contract role where you will act as the crucial liaison between stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams, ensuring solutions are both valuable and viable.

You will leverage data analysis and process modeling techniques to uncover insights, define clear requirements, and document workflows. Your expertise in SQL, agile tools, and business process improvement will be instrumental in driving product decisions, optimizing operations, and delivering features that meet core business needs in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities: Analyze, Document, and Facilitate

• Work with global stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements, translating them into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira.

• Use SQL to query databases, analyze trends, and create data-driven reports and dashboards that inform business decisions and measure project success.

• Map current and future business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to optimize workflows and system interactions.

• Act as a key contributor in Agile ceremonies (grooming, planning, reviews), ensuring the development team understands the “why” behind each feature and priority.

• Create and maintain detailed documentation in Confluence, including business requirements documents (BRDs), process flows, and user guides. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role within a technology, SaaS, or software development environment.

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.

• Hands-on experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for requirement management and documentation.

• Expertise in requirements gathering techniques, process modeling (BPMN, UML), and writing clear user stories.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.

• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fully remote work setting with stakeholders across different time zones.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
