Madrid, Spain – Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), a globally recognized financial institution with a 160-year legacy, is seeking a highly motivated Strategy Manager I to join its IT Ops Insight Hub team. This hybrid role, based in Madrid, presents an exceptional opportunity to influence the future of technology processing within a leading international bank.
The Strategy Manager I will play a critical role in shaping and evolving BBVA’s corporate technology cost model. This involves close collaboration with strategy teams across Engineering (I&O, Finance, IT Strategy, Productivity & Efficiency) and specialized technology teams (Banking Architectures, Public Cloud, Channels).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the existing cost model, including inputs, transformations, and outputs, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
- Maintain, evolve, and govern the corporate cost model, creating business cases to analyze cost behavior under various strategic scenarios and executive-level projects.
- Proactively identify opportunities for model enhancements based on detailed analysis of inputs and transformations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Business Administration).
- Proven experience in analyzing and designing technology solutions, developing technology innovation models, and budget development.
- Solid understanding of banking organizational structures, Engineering functions, and strategic project management.
- Foundational knowledge of IT architecture and budget control principles.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and Slides.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau Prep, Data Prep) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Looker Studio).
