Are you a servant leader passionate about guiding teams to peak performance? WorkinVirtual is recruiting for a Scrum Master to champion the Agile framework within a leading software development organization. This is a high-impact role where you will be the catalyst for efficiency, removing impediments and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

You will coach and mentor a distributed, cross-functional team, ensuring the effective application of Scrum principles to deliver high-value software. Your expertise in facilitating Scrum ceremonies and optimizing team velocity will be critical to the success of our client’s product roadmap and software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities: Facilitate, Coach, and Improve

  • Agile Team Coaching: Act as a servant leader and Agile Coach for one or more development teams, shielding them from external distractions and enabling their focus on sprint goals.

  • Impediment Removal: Proactively identify and systematically remove impediments that hinder team progress, escalating issues when necessary to ensure continuous flow.

  • Jira & Project Tracking: Manage and optimize the Agile project management toolkit, primarily Jira, to maintain accurate sprint backlogs, track team velocity, and provide transparency on project delivery.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster a collaborative partnership between the development team and product owners to ensure backlog clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and report on key Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down charts) to help the team forecast and improve its performance over time.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a dedicated Scrum Master for a software development team.

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification (PSM, SAFe).

  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and their application.

  • Proven experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies for distributed, global teams.

  • Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and drive results in a remote-first environment.
