Principal Asset Management Seeks Senior Market Strategist: Drive Global Investment Insights

Principal Financial is expanding its Asset Management Insights team and seeking a talented Senior Associate, Market Strategist to join their global strategy group. This is a prime opportunity to shape and communicate macroeconomic views to both internal and external stakeholders.

Role Highlights:

• Global Impact: Craft and present the firm’s macro strategy and asset class views.
• Insightful Content: Develop timely and impactful market and investment perspectives.
• Client Engagement: Conduct detailed discussions with institutional and retail clients.
• Collaboration: Partner with global investment teams, distribution, and marketing.
• Locations: Des Moines (preferred), New York, Chicago, Charlotte, or Remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in global macro strategy research.
• Create written economic, macro, and secular research content.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Support the growth of the Principal AM Global Insights program.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in economics, finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of investment industry experience.
• 3+ years of strategist experience.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg and statistical programs.
• CFA is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary Range: $123,000 – $167,000 per year.
• Flexible Time Off (FTO) for salaried employees.
