About the Position:
As a CCA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of mail to our customers. This position involves physically demanding work, requiring prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy containers of mail in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities include:
- Accurately sorting and sequencing all classes of mail for delivery.
- Efficiently delivering and collecting mail along a prescribed route, on foot or by vehicle.
- Maintaining a professional demeanor and providing excellent customer service.
- Accurately handling postage-due, registered, and insured mail.
- Utilizing handheld scanners to track deliveries and manage mail flow.
- Adhering to all USPS policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident alien, or citizen of American Samoa or other territory owing permanent allegiance to the United States.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record and at least two years of unsupervised driving experience.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Successfully complete the Virtual Entry Assessment – MC (474).
- Meet the physical requirements of the position, including the ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
